There’s a lot of confusion out there about exactly whathemp-derived Delta-9 THC is, and the legalities that surround it. Is it the same THC that comes from a marijuana plant? How can it be legal when marijuana is illegal in my state? What’s the difference between hemp and marijuana, anyway?
No worries, friend. We’re here to help. Here are some answers to the most common questions about farm-fresh THC.

What exactly is Farm-Fresh THC?

Long story short, farm-fresh THC is THC, the primary psychoactive compound in cannabis. THC’s full, scientific name is Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol. Since no one wants to say that all day, we call it Delta-9 for short.

Is hemp-derived Farm-Fresh THC the same THC found in marijuana plants?

Yup. Marijuana and hemp are two plants from the same species: cannabis. Both produce farm-freshTHC, but they produce it in different amounts. Hemp plants contain much less THC than marijuana plants. Industrial hemp plants contain less than 0.3% total THC by dry weight; this is in accordance with USDA regulation. The bottom line is; naturally-derived THC is the same substance, no matter which plant it comes from.

Is farm-fresh THC legal?

Farm-fresh THC products that are derived from hemp are legal on a federal level, as long as they are compliant with some stringent regulations.
    • The hemp plant must contain less than 0.3% THC by dry weight
    • The person buying or owning farm-fresh THC must be at least 21 years old
    • The products must be produced and obtained in a manner consistent with the law.

Products meeting these regulations – likeKAVVA gummies – are legal according to federal law. That means they can be legally purchased online and shipped to every U.S. state except Idaho.

Why Take farm-fresh THC?

Why take farm-fresh THC? We’re glad you asked. Farm-fresh THC has been shown to have a range of potential therapeutic benefits, including pain relief, reduced inflammation, nausea and vomiting reduction, appetite stimulation, and muscle spasm reduction. It may also have potential as a treatment for conditions such asinsomnia ,anxiety , depression, and PTSD, although more research is needed to fully understand its effects.

But what if recreational marijuana isn’t legal in my state?

As of this writing, Space Cowboy hemp-derived farm-fresh gummies can be legally purchased online and delivered to your home by the U.S. Postal Service regardless of your state’s medical or recreational legal status, except Idaho. Some additional states may impose restrictions in the future.

Okay, it’s legal, but why?

We can all thank the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 (aka the 2018 Farm Bill). The bill removed hemp from the Controlled Substances Act, making it legal on a federal level to cultivate, process and sell hemp-derived products, including Delta-9 THC and CBD (cannabidiol).

If the THC content of hemp is so much lower, is the effect lower than if I consumed farm-fresh THC derived from a marijuana plant?

Not with edibles. That’s because THC is extracted from hemp plants to use in edibles. So whether it’s from a marijuana plant or a hemp plant, you’re still extracting 100% THC. You just need more hemp plants to get the same total amount.

Should I take the same dose of hemp-derived farm-fresh THC as marijuana-derived?

Yes, but always responsibly. Since it’s the same THC, you can take the same amount. KAVVA gummies are federally regulated and tested by an FDA-certified lab. Additionally, because KAVVA Brands infuses our THC into the gummy formula (rather than spray THC onto the gummies), you know for sure that the amount of THC is true and consistent to what we put on the label. Still, start slow and enjoy responsibly. You can always take more, but you can’t un-ingest THC. It’s important to pay attention to the dosage in your edibles, as the dosage will be of the pure THC extract. For example, KAVVA gummies contain 10mg of THC per gummy.

What about Delta-8?

Unlike Delta-9, the natural amount of Delta-8 THC in hemp is very low, and additional chemicals are needed to convert other cannabinoids from hemp into Delta-8 THC (i.e., synthetic conversion). Because this conversion process is unregulated, Delta-8 THC products may contain potentially harmful chemicals—and that’s no good. As a result, 14 states have banned either delta-8 or all unregulated forms of THC. Our advice, steer clear of delta-8 products.

What about CBD?

The 2018 Farm Bill legalized hemp, making it ridiculous to keep CBD (or cannabidiol) illegal – that would be like making peanuts legal, but keeping peanut butter illegal. CBD is legal if it comes from hemp, but not if it comes from cannabis (marijuana). It doesn't contain tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive ingredient found in marijuana that produces a high. All 50 states have laws legalizing CBD with varying degrees of restriction.

Thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill, it's never been easier (or faster) to enjoy the natural benefits of real THC.
